LUMA Hotel Times Square

5/5 If you want a clean room and a nice view, stay here! It’s tough finding hotels near Times Square, but this was a pleasant stay that met my expectations—probably the best you’ll get in that area. Great hospitality and cozy room. The front desk called my room shortly after I checked in to make sure everything was to my liking. (I booked the Skyline View King with sofa)

LUMA was a perfect hotel for our weekend in NYC. We had 2 Broadway shows to see, and both were very close by. We only needed to take a cab one time our whole stay since everything we needed was so close. The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve ever experienced. Our room was very clean and the bathroom amenities smelled so good! The restaurant downstairs provided me with easily the best steak I’ve ever had, and again, very friendly service. We would absolutely stay here again!

Loved everything about our stay here. Close enough to Time Square but not noisy. Great service and comfortable rooms with enough space for family of 5 (3 kids). They sent the Robot Butler up to our room with kids slippers and robes -that was fun for all. Staff were super helpful and our luggage was stored safely when we arrived very early morning and also at departure. I also appreciated that there was a Whole Foods and a CVS around the corner as I did prefer to buy my own shampoo etc. since the small sized ones they provided didn’t feel sufficient for 5 of us even though I’m sure the staff would have provided as much as we needed. I also liked the adult size slippers, umbrella and Dyson hair dryer in the room.

This hotel is fantastic, the staff are extremely welcoming and took care of my son too. Doormen were exceptionally mannered and very helpful. I cannot fault the hotel with only one exception; Housekeeping is inconsistent, sometimes coffee is topped up, but no creamer or stirrers, another day creamer but no coffee. Same goes for toiletries, sometimes refreshed, sometimes not. I know the HK staff are different daily, they do a great job and properly clean the rooms, but it's hit and miss. The hotel know this as they keep coffee, creamer, toiletries etc in a tray at reception, by this I don't mean one or two for the just in case, but alot of them. If this was sorted out, the hotel would be damn near prefect. I travel alot for work and live in hotels around 40% of the time, this is by far the best yet. If you are a tourist to NYC, just book this place, good value compared to the competition and near faultless. Location also brilliant.

My husband, son, and I visited NYC to celebrate our son's college graduation. LUMA's location is phenomenal - exceptionally close to Times Square, Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, Bryant Park, and the subway. We were on the 25th floor and were surprised at how well insulated the building was - we hardly heard any of the noise from Times Square! The room was about what I expected - not as small as some in which we've stayed when we traveled abroad, but not as large as some in our home state. The doormen and front desk were so friendly! I appreciated their help and positivity each day!

I’m annoying about hotels. I’ll be the first to tell you nothing makes me feel like I’m home. Everything to me is dirty. I was SO SURPRISED at this hotel. The entrance is tiny but what a BIG shock!! Every single person working there went above and beyond. Just the way they spoke to every person that walked in as though they were the most important person there. The rooms were CLEAN! We had a king with a pull out sofa and it was large by NY standards. The location is STEPS from Bryant Park but without the hussle and bussle. I could see the Times Square ball from my room! It was an amazing trip. Thanks!

My family visited NYC for Christmas and chose this hotel specifically for the double king beds, which were perfect for us. We also enjoyed a lovely extra touch when the robot, Alina, delivered some cute goodies to our room as part of a package, she even delivered a late-night food delivery. The location is excellent—super close to Times Square, Bryant Park, and multiple subway stations. The rooms were quiet and spacious, easily accommodating our family of four with two teens. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly; my son especially loved being asked how his day was every time we returned from an outing. They were also extremely accommodating when my daughter got sick and we needed cleaning supplies and extra towels. Overall, the experience was absolutely wonderful and deserving of 5 stars. However, I’m giving 4 out of 5 due to a small but disappointing moment at checkout. I always mail postcards from the cities I visit and forgot to bring stamps with me (completely my fault). When I asked if the hotel could mail them—even offering cash for the stamps and the staff member’s time—the request was declined. In the past, other hotels have always accommodated this, with or without payment, so I was disappointed to have to mail the postcards from home in Texas instead. It’s a small thing, but it did put a slight damper on an otherwise perfect stay.

Every person in this hotel was extremely nice and attentive. The rooms are pretty standard for size but very well done. This hotel is not huge but it does have a nice small bar area with plenty of seating. There was a lot of construction going on but they did their best with that. It is located within walking distance to many locations. We enjoyed the stay there and would happily stay again.

Great Hotel in the heart of Midtown. Friendly Staff, amazing breakfast buffet ($40 including tax and other fees etc). Top floors have nice views. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

Exceeded every expectation. Spotlessly clean, incredibly quiet, and two king beds in NYC felt luxurious and rare. The complimentary sound machine made sleep effortless. Truly lived up to (and beyond) its TripAdvisor rating. Thank you for caring hotel staff and team you are what makes this hotel what it is.
